How did such a Club come about? It was inspired by a group of friends who also have a passion and collection of super cars who me encouraged, as well as P1 international founder and owner of the idea Micheal Breen, now a good friend of Club Supercar. Club Supercar is the first car club ever of its kind in Denmark. The idea was to be part of a Supercar club that focused on giving opportunity to try out the latest supercars for the fraction of the price.

Supercars have great allure – it seems everyone wants to drive them, or at the very least take a photo next to one of these works of art. Supercars bring attention and for those who know about them a very special feeling; however, back in 2005 when the idea for Club Supercar was born this was especially unique offer to have for a country like Denmark, a region famed for its high levels of taxation. Forming the Club was a genius way to afford to drive such cars before Flex Leasing, a way to part purchase vehicles with a flexible number plate, which cuts the cost of taxes when the car is used only for the fraction of the time. The number plate comes for part of the year and the typical annual cost of owning the car is reduced tremendously via flex leasing. When flex leasing was introduced it quickly eliminated the upside of ambitions of car clubs. Today, with the hundreds of possibilities of Flex Leasing contracts, which now is the trend and most cost effective way of owning a Supercar, Club Supercar was able to shift its focus to creating more Supercar oriented events where groups of car aficionados can meet and journey on great car rides together.

The drive to Monaco was one of the first events where a group of ladies and gentleman (well mainly gentleman) would meet in Copenhagen, Denmark and make the amazingly beautiful drive to Southern France. Driving in an entourage brings excitement and joy for the driver and those we pass by along the way. We are also able to explore and try out some daring moves, such as the San Bernardino Pass in Switzerland. These passes up up through the mountains are the perfect super car roads and course, twisting and turning down the narrow valley roads are most the satisfying and beautiful way to enjoy nature and test your skills of accelerating and braking while going uphill most of the time and taking those sharp curves in the road. The revving engines blowing through the ravines of the mountains was a common sound and bound to put a smile on your face.

About me

I am Yvonne Christensen, an entrepreneur, mother of five daughters (yes, five!), wife, carer, photographer, and world traveler. I was born in the United Kingdom, however, my roots lie in Nigeria, where both of my parents were born. I have lived in several countries apart from the UK, including Germany, Denmark, and most recently, Switzerland.

I often think of myself as a nomad, roaming and learning as I travel around the globe. My children have been the center of my life, however, now that they are living their adult lives, I have decided it is time for me to explore and share my adventures with all of you who have common interests and passions through my blog — YSC Life.
