Year in Review: 2018 On Being a Student I have not written many blogs this year because my priorities changed as I became a full-time student. I returned to university to support my growing knowledge on working with my champagne cuvée Les Cinq Filles.V. Now that I am winter break, I’ll catch you up to my life really quickly. First, I want to take my hat off to all the students of the world. I am fortunate to have amazing well-versed teachers, all top of their game and a top...

A Week in Seoul South Korea may not be the first holiday destination that comes to mind when you think of Asia; however, I had the opportunity to a week in Seoul to attend a conference with my husband Lars so I decided to join him and make a first time visit. It would have been unlikely for me to travel to South Korea as it's not a holiday destination nor do we run business from this country but you only live once so I boarded the plane with...

[caption id="attachment_8415" align="alignnone" width="1242"] surprise surprise![/caption] A year of reflection The year 2016 has been bittersweet, a mixture of ups and downs. As one gets older the stakes get higher, and somehow the challenges are more amplified. I felt this profoundly in 2016 as I faced some difficulty in my personal life; however, the flip side of life's challenges is they can make you stronger and realize your ability to survive and thrive. I realize I am fortunate in many ways; however, no one is exempt from challenge, no matter how...

The British people voted out of the EU Britain is out !!! Yesterday history was made and was it a surprise? By a million votes the British people voted ✔️ to leave the European Union after 43 years. I have my own political views and vote usually for the same political party (when I do vote) but I would rather not go into this here as I do not think there is a correlation to the political party you vote for to the majority vote that voted to leave the EU....

The Worlds Best 50 Restaurant 2016 Restaurant Geranium @no.28 I came to New York City to support Restaurant Geranium for The Worlds 50 Best Restaurant awards. Restaurant Geranium was formerly positioned at no.51 on this list; however, has also been once placed at no.42 in the past, which you might find bizarre for a restaurant that has received Michelin star(s) for many years, as well as other prestigious awards, this doesn't count in The Worlds 50 Best Restaurant award listings. This list does not relate to other awards and is...

Harlem A Soulful Sunday in Harlem It was hot in Harlem today, literally and figuratively, temperatures soaring to 32 degrees. Standing on the corner of 110th Street and Central Park West a NYC fire truck raged past me, the siren blaring and bells ringing, announcing a rescue form New York's finest. I I was standing with my husband in the middle of a round about at the memorial of Frederick Douglass , I svivled my body 360 degrees to follow the moving truck up the road towards East of the city,...

As I approached my 50th year one of my wishes was to travel to Japan to experience the Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom.  I departed for Tokyo in April during the height of Cherry Blossom season. The trip was so well planned that we took our flight precisely the night before the highest blossoming day. The hotel was booked right next door to Ueno Park in central Tokyo. I went to the most popular park in Tokyo to marvel at the delicate pink blossoms decorating the trees fancifully....
